A Bit About Me

Robbye Kelly was born and raised in the small west Texas town of Ballinger, and is proud of her Texas roots.  She was accepted to and began college at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos in 2003 until the university’s name changed just a few weeks later.  Robbye graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University – San Marcos in 2008 and then received her juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2011.  In July 2014, Robbye graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, where she learned to utilize her compassion and understanding as a strength for her clients and coworkers both in and out of the courtroom.

Robbye is a proud member of the “F” Warriors (Trial Lawyers Alumni Group), active in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.  She is also an alumna of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity, and a member of the Texas College of the State Bar.

As a licensed attorney, Robbye practiced as a trial lawyer for a short time in Houston and then for several years in Central Texas until 2019 when she took a break (or “retired” as she likes to joke) in order to raise her daughter.
